Martin Luther Homes consists of a Retirement Village with 51 Independent Living Units, 4 serviced apartments and a Residential Care Facility comprising of 88 beds offering both, low level (hostel) and high level (nursing home & dementia specific) care. We are, therefore, able to offer our residents “ageing in place” where a progression from independent living to nursing home (high level) care is possible.
Our aged care facility’s objective is to provide professional aged care services predominantly (but not exclusively) to the German speaking community in a Christian (Lutheran) environment, which is designed to meet the requirements of each individual resident in a holistic manner.

An introduction to the Homes history: The development of our facilities using the family home as a model, has proven to be very successful in giving our residents both quality of life and quality care.
Martin Luther Homes has been operating for 40 years. We commenced residential care as a 31 bed hostel. In 1996 we opened our nursing home and dementia unit with 12 and 11 beds respectively. A further 15 bed nursing home and 15 bed dementia unit were opened in December 2000 with 7 more beds in 2003. The 51 independent living units were built over the years since 1969.
