Governance and Management
Martin Luther Homes is an incorporated association (Registration Number A0020117Y).
The association's members, at their annual general meeting, elect the members of the Board of Governance who hold terms varying from one to three years.
The members of the Board are the Directors of the association, ultimately responsible before the law, and to the association Members, for giving overall direction to Martin Luther Homes and for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulation.
The Board appoints a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to carry out its policies, strategies and decisions.
The CEO is responsible for the day-to-day running of Martin Luther Homes. It is the CEO's task to manage the organisation in line with the mission, vision, objectives and policies of the Board and relevant laws.
The CEO is assisted by his staff, currently more than 120, all of whom he employs. Typically, the CEO is a professional dedicated to business administration, and, therefore, delegates the responsibility for the day-to-day nursing management to the Director of Nursing. The CEO and the Director of Nursing constitute the Senior Management Team.
