Martin Luther Homes is Aged Care Provider of the Year (VIC)

Martin Luther Homes are proud to announce that we have won the Aged Care Provider of the Year award in Victoria. The 2018 Aged & Community Services Australia Awards were hosted in July by ACSA*, the national organisation representing the not-for-profit aged care sector.

Martin Luther Homes was awarded the prestigious title because of its “outstanding leadership, management, workforce culture, innovation, communication and general excellence to the sector”.

Chief Executive Officer Birgit Goetz received the award on behalf of all Martin Luther Homes’ residents and staff. “It is such an achievement for all of us. I have to thank all of our staff who have worked tirelessly over the years to turn our home into an industry leader”, Goetz said after the ceremony.

“Being the aged care provider of the year in Victoria is already a major success story for us, but to now also represent our state at the national ACSA awards in Sydney in September is even more exciting, hopefully, our idea of combining trendy apartments with convenient care services will help us to succeed yet again, on a national stage”, CEO Birgit Goetz said.

The major reason for the success at the recent ACSA awards was the introduction of ‘care apartments’ at Martin Luther Homes. Care apartments are an industry first, as they combine modern independent apartment living with the safety and comforts of 24-hour care. Martin Luther Homes currently provides state-of-the-art one or two-bedroom apartments to its residents. This new form of aged care accommodation clearly sets it apart from other providers in the field.

In addition to winning Aged Care Provider of the year, Martin Luther Homes also made it into the finals for the category Innovation in Service or Design.

The national award ceremony will be held during the ACSA National Summit from September 3–5 in Sydney.
